Game One: The Jitra Campaign Chain of Command

In the First game of the Chain of Command Jitra campaign, the ‘green’ Indian Army recruit platoon were tasked to  defended the bridge at Changlun from a Japanese probe. The Japanese waisted no time moving their Jump Off point up and deploying onto the bridge, they were met by a barrage of fire by dug in sections to make it a costly assault.

The Japanese charge was most effective on gaining a foothold on the bridge. Luckily the Second Section made it through the Japanese barrage and a Zero attack to take up their defences blocking the Japanese advance and assault, twice which were on barely repulsed.  This ensured the lines of communcation remained intact.

After the seeing off the first wave, the Japanese came again, with a fresh assault funnelling more sections onto the bridge. This pushed  pushing back the defenders on the right flank sending the back in to the jungle to defend the next phase line. Nevertheless, the central held, although they were driven from their positions they kept their composure & remaining combat effective, thanks to their Senior Leader Lieutenant Barnes Noble, a bit of a bibliophile.
